Bloom sees the butterflies
Not all beautiful flowers are seen in the garden.
There were those that stemmed in a place, on its own, brought up by changing seasons and people, lured gazes and touched memories. These memories etched in time, would lie untouched in those flowers, carrying with it the texture, the fragrance, the landscape, the people and a piece of you in them.
Curated by Designer/Illustrator Anas Rashad, this series is journey down his memory line, revisiting four flowers integral to the collective consciousness of the people of Kerala and has, in many ways, captured the essence of their culture. Designed together with Utility Designer, Stanu Stalin, this collection features handcrafted natural pendant lights, handwoven with banana bark fibre ropes by a group of women artisans belonging to rural Tamil Nadu.
